It’s always a pleasure to work on a second project for one of my clients, and helping this family transition from London life to their new rental apartment in the heart of Paris was no exception. The stunning lateral apartment, with its vast spaces, abundant light and classic Parisian grandeur, needed furnishing and styling throughout. I collaborated with both UK and French suppliers to source each element of this design, creating the perfect blend of minimalist chic and inviting comfort.  

Set against beautiful parquet flooring and original panelling, the oversized light fixtures chosen, and the design of the bespoke storage, bring balance to the spacious hallway. In the reception room, we achieved a sense of minimalist opulence by incorporating antique glass into the joinery – accentuated with marble plinths and a series of burnished brass wall lights that perfectly encircle the space. 

Thoughtfully zoned, the expansive space flows effortlessly from an intimate, candle-lit dining area to a cosy salon for relaxed after-dinner drinks. The room’s bespoke low-lying furniture adds loungy comfort, with a palette that embraces subtle patterns and rich natural tones. Shades of deep green velvet, earthy terracotta, and soft woollen textures lend warmth and a grounded feel in the absence of outdoor space. 

In the heart of the home, understated fun fabrics, calming tones, a huge custom ottoman and playful lighting come together to create a cosy children’s playroom – an inviting retreat for playtime, or quiet snuggles with a favourite book.  

A beautifully designed bespoke bed, in chocolate brown velvet, adds drama to the vast master bedroom. Complemented by soft pink rose undertones, natural linens, sheepskin and a tactile seagrass wallcovering, this room is grounded in a serene earthy sophistication. Meanwhile, the children’s bedroom bursts with playful energy. A trompe l’oeil circus ceiling, bespoke bunting and friendly giant animals transform the space into a whimsical wonderland where little imaginations can run wild.

The result? An elegant family home that meets the vibrancy and magic of Parisian family life.
