With their next big move complete and a new addition to the family, my clients were thrilled to find a spacious new home with grand proportions – allowing them to showcase their extraordinary collection of curiosities and quirky sense of style. Collaborating closely throughout the design process, we carefully curated each room – layering stories, textures, and treasured pieces to bring their unique vision to life.  

In the heart of the home, an unexpected collection of furniture serves an everyday purpose whilst celebrating the client’s distinctive, eclectic style. Retro ’30s charm meets delicate Italian vintage in this basement space, where a palette of Paean Black creates a contemporary yet intimate feel, softened by floral patterns and pink hues throughout.

On the ground floor, guests are welcomed into an elegantly composed reception room that sets the tone for the rest of the home. This sophisticated adult space exudes a fun, lived-in opulence, with cosy corners perfect for cocktails by the fire. Versailles parquet flooring and bright yellow silk curtains create a striking backdrop for family heirlooms and nostalgic childhood treasures, beautifully complemented by a vibrant mix of jewel tones and colourful patterns. Paired with dramatic dark khaki joinery filled with antiquities, the living space brims with a charming bohemian spirit.

Upstairs, botanical prints, silks, and earthy sisal in the master bedroom celebrate leafy views of the large mature garden. With a much-loved vintage chinoiserie cabinet and an original set of herbarium artwork, the space exudes calm, grounded elegance – a peaceful retreat to escape to at the end of a busy day. The addition of bespoke joinery in the master suite and attic bedrooms introduce order amid the delightful chaos of a young family. 

Playful details and soft furnishings bring their daughters’ bedrooms to life, creating a sense of romantic charm and whimsy – inspiring happy imaginative play. This joyful home is a celebration of cherished memories, creative expression, and the family adventures that lie ahead.
